BSAC Courses

British Sub Aqua Club

Our training program has been structured by the BRITISH SUB AQUA CLUB. They are the world's largest diving club with over 50,000 members to their credit. Part of BSAC's popularity is the club system where divers get together to provide training, share social events and meet regularly to arrange weekly dive programs for their members.

As a BSAC PREMIER SCHOOL we teach the first entry level called OCEAN DIVER which on completion of the program will give you an internationally recognised certificate enabling you to dive anywhere in the world.

The course is divided into four elements: 8 theory lessons, 5 sheltered water sessions, theory and practical assessments and four open water dives. €435.00

Calling all Club Diving Officers

Take advantage of the following course options especially in the winter months. Dive Clubs are always invited to bring over groups of trainee divers for their first and subsequent open water dives to further their experience in warm water, with good visibility and superb diving conditions. We can arrange everything you need flights, accommodation and much more. Also don't forget training Instructors dive for FREE ( 2 instructors per group of twelve ) go on get them qualified NOW ! Independent Divers

Why not complete your Ocean, Sports Diver Open Water dives with us in the warm waters of Tenerife ,especially in the UK winter months, its got to be a better option than diving in a quarry ! more to see as well - Just ask for full details.

Sports Diver - €388.00

This course produces a diver who has gained open water diving and diver rescue experience and is considered ready to take part in dives partnered by another diver. Sports Divers who have gained the qualification of BSAC Assistant Club Instructor may partner BSAC Club Divers on Branch dives subject to the approval of the Branch Diving Officer. BSAC Sports Divers are restricted to a maximum depth of 35 metres.
The Sports Diver Course includes theory lessons, practical lessons in sheltered water, and five open water dives.
Course content as follows:

  • 6 classroom lessons  -  Theory assessment
  • Dry practical lesson  -  1 Sheltered Water lesson
  • 1 optional Refresher/Orientation dive
  • 5 Open Water lessons.

An opportunity to increase your skills and incorporate rescue exercises, a popular follow on course for Ocean Divers.


Dive Leader - €520.00

This course incorporates practical lessons in Dive Leadership, rescue management scenarios, oxygen administration and rescue procedures.
The Dive Leader Course consists of the following elements:

  • Twelve classroom lessons  -  A theory assessment
  • Seven Open Water lessons  -  Two dry practical lessons
  • Twenty dives
Dive Leader training concentrates on the responsibility and safety aspects on leading other divers on an Open Water dive. Practical lessons in Rescue Management Skills will give you the confidence and ability to deal with those unforeseen emergencies.
Leading a dive will develop your, confidence and experience as a diver.
What is a BSAC Dive Leader?
A Dive Leader is defined as a diver who:
· Can plan and lead a range of dives including those requiring detailed dive, air and decompression requirements planning.
· Has the skill and level of knowledge to progressively extend his / her skills to take part in a wide range of adventurous dives.
· Has rescue management skills.
· Is competent to marshal and supervise branch dives to locations well known to the branch, or using experienced skippers, or in conditions not normally described as “challenging”
· Can dive to a depth which is initially limited to 35m, but which can subsequently be extended progressively to 50m.
· Can conduct dives with divers of any grade to expand their experience beyond that previously encountered by those divers, under the supervision of a dive marshal.
· Can conduct experience dives with trainee Ocean Divers, within the restrictions of the conditions already encountered by the trainee Ocean Diver, under the supervision of a dive marshal
